A new dating term seems to pop up constantly, and society has now honed in on one called "pocketing."
Pocketing means you hide your significant other from family and friends, moo than likely because you're embarrassed about them.
And unfortunately, being "pocketed" is not a good sign for your relationship.

Relationship expert Susan Winter says that generally, pocketing is frowned upon because it might suggest that your partner is embarrassed to be in a relationship with you for one reason or another, and that meeting friends and parents is a natural part of integrating your partners life into your own, and if you find that the person you're dating isn't willing to do that, it may be "cause for alarm."
