Looks like a couple of police officers in West Belfast will be receiving some pieces of coal in their stockings this year.

The officers pulled over Santa Claus who was offering neighborhood children sleigh rides because he did not have the proper lights on his sleigh. They told Santa his sleigh was not "road legal," and therefore could not be ridden out on the street.

Luckily, the ride was only halted temporarily, as the proper lights were fastened, and the sleigh was allowed to go on.

Lisa Lynn of the Falls Residents Association said it was "unfortunate" the sleigh was stopped by the police, but the issue was quickly resolved and they plan to continue going out to see more children and families. She said, "We had spoken to the community policing team before we set off and they seemed happy enough, so we were surprised by what happened."
