A Florida woman was not going to let anything stop her from voting this presidential election, including the birth of her child.
The woman's husband ran into the Orange County Supervisor of Elections asking for a vote-by-mail ballot for his wife who was waiting in the car outside. When inquiring why, the husband revealed that his wife was CURRENTLY in labor and though she could not enter the polling place, was determined to vote before heading to the hospital.
Briceño González was working the counter when the husband ran in. She said of the sequence of events, "I was helping at the counter with the voters for early voting and I got a gentleman handing me 2 driver's licenses. I was telling him, 'No, I just need yours. If the other person wants to come in and vote, they can.' And he said, 'No, you don't understand. My wife's going to have a baby."
González went out to the vehicle with a ballot, and the soon-to-be-mother filled it out right then and there while doing her Lamaze breathing!
The woman was able to fill out her ballot, where immediately afterwards she and her husband made their way to an Orlando hospital where she could give birth.
