In January of 2021, Bishop retired from the Calais Police Department after serving as an officer for the past 25 years, and just six days later, was arrested for dealing drugs in a high school parking lot.

According to the Bangor Daily News, Bishop was caught giving a student hydrocodone and fentanyl.

110 hydrocodone pills were also discovered in his "police duty" bag in his home.

At the time, Bishop was charged with four counts of aggravated furnishing of schedule drugs, and one count of unlawful trafficking.

And now, he was just sentenced to four years in prison.
