A lemonade is often the first chance a child has in learning the practices of owning and operating a business.
Over the weekend, an 11-year-old learned a valuable business lesson: sometimes people are jerks.
Security cameras captured a man driving to 11-year-old Liam's lemonade stand, picking it up and placing it in his truck before driving away.
Liam was nearby and witnessed the entire event. He tried flagging down the driver, but it was too late. He told NBC 7 San Diego, "Why would this happen? Why would he do that? Take from a kid that is just trying to sell lemonade."
Liam had been selling lemonade at that spot for a year and a half, and though he was well known to folks in the area, nobody can seem to identify the man who stole it.
Several business owners reached out to Liam, with one even sending him $100 and a card that read, "Keep smiling. Don't let this that happened let you down."
