There's a nationwide shortage of bus drivers right now, which was forced a lot of school district to improvise with how they transport their students around.

Jim Mayers is a high school English teacher from Boston, who recently took a group of students on a field trip, but they had nobody to drive them.

So his school had to look outside the district to find proper accommodations for the kids, which meant hiring a party to bus to transport them to and from the school. And this party bus, came complete with stripper poles.

Of course, some of Mayers' students had questions.

Thankfully, through what were no doubt a period of awkwardness, the field trip went off without a hitch, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Mayers said according to Newsweek, "Yes, this is a true story. However, the entire day was in fact a phenomenal experience for all the kids, they didn't really care about the bus, and a lot of great planning by a lot of great people made for a fantastic day."

Mayers also took time to encourage people to call their local elected officials and demand "massive structural investments for the education system," including "paying all bus drivers, facilities, and operations staff a competitive salary, with comprehensive benefits."

He added, "Whatever you think is enough, double it."
