Husbands all across the world know the phrase "Happy wife, happy life." Some husbands might know that phrase a little too well.
We all know some might think it's just a cute saying and maybe an endearing way to get husbands to just shut up and listen to their wives, but apparently there is some truth to the saying!
A 2014 study at Rutgers University has found that "marital bliss is strongly associated with whether or not the wife in the relationship is happy."
If she is miserable, there's a good chance he is miserable as well, and interestingly enough, if just the husband is miserable the relationship suffers way less!

Apparently, the reason "happy wife, happy life" is true is because "a happy wife is more willing to aim to please."
Study author Deborah Carr explained per YourTango, "If a wife is happy in her marriage, she will try hard to create a positive experience for her husband. So perhaps she listens to him more, she offers him more emotional support, or maybe she offers him more help with daily activities."
