The reception to electric scooters making their comeback to Dallas has been cool at best. Honestly, it only took one day for detractors to be bothered by their reappearance.
The issues that the city faced with the scooters a few years ago have made a return as well, and one incident heading into the weekend landed one electric scooter rider in the hospital.

According to News Radio 1080 KRLD, DART officials say the Orange Lane train was heading south near Olive Street when the rider was struck. The victim was taken to Baylor with injuries that thankfully, were considered to be non-life threatening.
DART police are currently investigating the incident.
According to DART spokesperson Gordon Shattles said, initial reports say the person was “operating the scooter unsafely at the time of the incident.”
