"Furries" are folks who like to weal full-body costumes because they identify, rather as a human, to giant, anthropomorphic animals such as dogs or cats.
One Nebraska school district was recently accused by parents and politicians alike for placing kitty litter boxes in their bathrooms to cater to these students.
Hey, normal dogs can't use a toilet, right? So why should a student who identifies as one?
Well it turns out these rumors simply weren't true, and Nebraska senator Bruce L. Bostelman recently issued an apology to officials of several Midwest school districts who have faced accusations of doing so.
Midland Public Schools superintendent Michael E. Sharrow immediately denounced the rumors as completely made up telling News Channel Nebraska, "Let me be clear in this communication: There is no truth whatsoever to this false statement/accusation. There have never been litter boxes within MPS schools. It is such a source of disappointment that I felt the necessity to communicate this message to you."
Well, last Monday Senator Bostelman issued an official apology stating: "It was just something I felt that if this really was happening, we needed to address it and address it quickly. We wanted to put an end to it" and "to make sure it wasn't happening here."

Bostelman was also apparently told by a Millard-area parents that a student, dressed as a cat, had asked for a litter box, and when that request was denied, had defecated on a floor.
