The world has been shut down since March of 2020 due to the pandemic, which means the world of dating has taken a major hit. Well one group of people seems to be more excited than others about the long-awaited distribution of the vaccine: the elderly!
Maureen Tara Nelson, a Long Island-based relationship expert and matchmaker, said the elderly, "They want companionship more than anything, especially after many of them lived in isolation for the better part of 10 months. The silver foxes and cougars can’t wait to get back on the prowl to find the loves of their lives, without health and safety fears for them and their partner."
73-year-old Linda Wohlers plans on scheduling her first in-person date for right after she receives the vaccine. She says, "We’ve waited long enough! I want to live the life I have left, because who knows how many more years there will be?”
