The Goonies is one of the most beloved films of the '80s, and fans have been wondering for the past four decades if there will ever be a sequel.
Signs are currently pointing to "yes."
According to NME, a sequel to the 1985 movie is reportedly in the works, with the original cast, including Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan, and Corey Feldman all set to return.
Current plans are for discussions about the plot to begin next summer, with a scheduled date some time in 2026 or 2027.
