If your Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino has a little extra crunch to it, you might want to put it down.
Starbucks has issued a recall of 300,000 bottles of the drink due to the bottles possibly containing glass!
According to a notice from the FDA, PepsiCo voluntarily recalled more than 25,000 cases of the bottled vanilla Frappuccino drink sold at retailers nationwide because the beverages possibly contain a "foreign object (glass)."
The possibly contaminated bottles have UPC number 0 12000-81331 3, with the expiration dates being March 8, May 29, June 4, and 10.
When reached for comment, PepsiCo issued TODAY the following statement:
PepsiCo, on behalf of the North American Coffee Partnership, initiated a voluntary product recall on select lots of Starbucks Frappuccino Vanilla (13.7 oz. glass bottle). The impacted products have best buy dates of March 8, 2023; May 29, 2023; June 4, 2023; and June 10, 2023 and were distributed across the United States. The removal of these products from the marketplace is currently underway. The products are not sold at Starbucks retail locations.
