We are a little over a month from opening day of the State Fair of Texas, and if you aren't pumped about visiting Fair Park already, the Fair just announced the finalists for the Big Tex Choice Awards!
It's like Christmas has come early.
Five new savory and five new sweet items are hitting the menus at the fair this year, all of which look absolutely incredible.
As it is every year, it was incredibly difficult for fair officials to windle down all the nominees to the final ten.
State Fair spokeswoman Karissa Condoianis told the Dallas Morning News, "One of the top reasons people come to the fair is the food — we are known for our food. This year, it was stiff competition."
The winners of the Big Tex Choice Awards will be selected by a panel of ten judges on August 22. The Fair will run this year from September 27 to October 20.
