Dallas man Dennis Brown is paralyzed from the waist down. He was paralyzed by a gunman when he was just 22-years-old.
Now 58, Brown was driving a rental car from Enterprise when he knew something was wrong.
He told FOX 4, "I had rented a car from Enterprise equipped with hand control. I have been in the car several times. It seemed like the car was about to give out. I looked up. The front end was on fire."
With the car quickly becoming engulfed in flames, Brown had trouble getting out with his wheelchair. Thankfully, a good Samaritan stepped in and pulled Brown out of the burning car.
Initially, Brown didn't catch the woman's name, telling FOX 4, ""I'd like to appreciate her for her heroic act. She went into harm's way to save me. Dragged me out. I'd like to thank her."
She was later identified as Tammi Arrington, a Mississippi resident who was in town visiting a friend.
