We all remember the tests we had to endure before we got our drivers licenses, right?  A big part of those tests was being able to read and recognize various road signs.

We're not sure if these folks just skipped that day, forgot everything they learned, or just ignoring them altogether, but a new survey has found that not all drivers recognize and understand various road signs despite having their licenses for years.

MyVision.org asked 1,060 drivers about road signs and other "distractions" they face while behind the wheel, and found that most respondents had trouble identifying the road construction sign with 13% confusing it for a railroad crossing sign, 4% mistaking it for a slow-moving vehicle sign, and 4% thinking it was a no-passing sign.

The results also showed that about two out of five people were confused about the divided highway ending and railroad after turn signs.

The survey also found that 97% of drivers feel road signs are helpful but the biggest issue is when they aren't placed well, and nearly 60% report trouble driving because of bad signage.

Also, nearly 25% think drivers should never be tested after the initial test getting their license, though more than half feel drivers should be tested about every five to 10 years.
