There were a lot of amazing moments from the Taylor Hawkins tribute concert over the weekend, but the one that truly stands out is when his son Shane sat behind the kit to perform with his late father’s band.

Grohl introduced Shane telling the crowd gathered at London’s Wembley Stadium, “We have one more drummer that’s going to come up and play with us tonight. Let me tell you, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone hit the drums as hard as this person.”

Shane then took the stage to uproars from the completely sold out stadium, to perform the Foo Fighters’ 1998 “My Hero.”

The concert featured 50 songs performed a revolving train of musicians, including Paul McCartney, Travis Barker, and Liam Gallagher amongst others, and was live-streamed on Paramount.

A second tribute concert will be held in Los Angeles September 27.
