We always think about the ability to go back in time and give our younger selves advice. What about asking our future selves for life advice now?
A research team at M.I.T. has developed the ability to do that, with their new A.I. chatbot called "Future You."
According to Tech Xplore, Future You learns about your current self through a series of questions about "your life, your friends and family, the past experiences that have shaped who you are, and what your hopes are for the future," and develops answers to any questions you may have.
M.I.T. also digitally ages a photograph of you, so it looks like you're literally talking to your future self.
One of the researchers working on the project says he's talked to his future self "a lot," and one of the most profound pieces of advice he's received was to "spend more time with his parents, because they won't be around forever."
