We're all looking at the chance for that lucky break, like whoever purchased that $95 Million winning Lottery ticket in Colleyville.
And some of us like looking for that lucky break from the comfort of our own home, while sitting on the couch in our underwear.
Unfortunately, a newly proposed bill from the Texas Senate would prohibit that course of action regarding the purchase of lottery tickets, as they want to ban them from being sold online.
According to WFAA, Texas state Sen. Bob Hall believes that lottery tickets are meant to be a face-to-face transaction, and he has proposed Senate Bill 1820 which would ban lottery courier services, which are neither affiliated with the Texas Lottery Commission nor regulated by the state.
Senate Bill 1820 has moved to the House after passing in the Senate on April 12.
Since April 18, the legislation has been referred to licensing & administrative procedures.
