The dream of flying cars will soon be a reality.
A company in Slovenia called Klein Vision says their mass-produced flying car will be available for purchase beginning next year, but like all great things these days it comes with a pretty hefty price tag.
According to New Atlas, the base model of their "AirCar" will cost $800,000, and it's not a hovercar where you'll be able to just instantly lift off the ground to avoid traffic on 35.
The car has retractable wings, so you'll still need a runway to lift off, and you'll need a pilot's license to operate it.
Still, studying for and acquiring your pilot's license sounds a lot shorter than waiting at the DMV to get a Real ID in order to fly commercially.
