Next time you're at the grocery store, take a close look at the bread aisle, and specifically the color of the twisty ties on the loaves. There's a reason the ties are colored the way that they are!

According to Reader's Digest, the color of the twist tie or plastic tag coordinates with the day the bread was baked!

Because bakeries are usually closed Wednesdays and Sundays, there are only five colors to remember:

Blue - Monday
Green - Tuesday
Red - Thursday
White - Friday
Yellow - Saturday

Do note, however, that systems can vary from bakery to bakery, though this method can primarily be found at major chain stores.
