The pandemic brought along many changes to life as we know it, including what we commonly refer to now as the great migration.
Basically, with the sudden rise of the ability to work from home, homebuyers had their pick of the litter to pack up all of their belongings and move to a completely different city while still maintaining employment at their current job.
No doubt, North Texas has seen its fair share of new residents come into the Lone Star State as part of the great migration, seemingly more so than anywhere else in the United States.
But where are all these people coming from?
A new report published by Redfin found the top ten U.S. cities homebuyers are looking to leave. They are as follows:
1 – San Francisco
2 – Los Angeles
3 – New York
4 – Washington D.C.
5 – Seattle
6 – Boston
7 – Detroit
8 – Denver
9 – Chicago
10 – Minneapolis
And where are all those people going? The top ten growing cities include:
1 – Miami
2 – Tampa
3 – Phoenix
4 – Sacramento
5 – Las Vegas
6 – Cape Coral, FL
7 – San Diego
8 – North Par, FL
9 – San Antonio
10 – Dallas
