Parents everywhere constantly worry that video games are ruining their child's lives. Well, this story is just adding to those feelings.
A group of thieves in the UK have recently been arrested for stealing £180,000 (about $245,000) worth of cars using a classic Nintendo Game Boy video game system.
According to PC Gamer, the actual video game parts were removed from the casing, and a device was constructed out of the Game Boy that mirrored the short-range frequencies of a key fob, which tricked the cars into thinking that the device is the key itself.
Using this device, the thieves were able to steal five Mitsubishi Outlanders!
The three thieves, Dylan Armer, Christopher Bowes and Thomas Poulson, were thankfully caught after CCTV footage of the theft caught them stealing a car over the summer.
The Game Boy was found in a secret compartment of the thieves' car following their arrest.
