It's a video that's taken the world by storm, a Tesla screaming down a Los Angeles neighborhood only to take flight after launching off a hill only to crash land onto the street below.
The Los Angeles Police Department have been on the search for the culprit all this week, and they feel they finally have their man. And would you be surprised to learn it's a TikTok star?
The LAPD tweeted that 90% of the tips they've received point to Dominykas Zeglaitis, @dominykas on TikTok (whose account has since been deleted) whose claimed he was the driver in a series of videos posted on social media.
The video shows the rented Tesla speeding up a street and jumping over the cross street at the top of a hill, only to descend down the equally steep other side of the hill, crashing into trash cans and two parked vehicles.
The police offered a $1,000 reward for any information regarding the hit-and-run.
Jordan Hooks, the owner of a Subaru that was hit in the stunt, told NBC Los Angeles the driver most likely did it for likes and follows on social media.
