Doctor Katerina Kurteeva, an ophthalmologist in Newport Beach, California recently posted a video where she removed 23 old contacts from a patient's eye. TWENTY THREE!!
Apparently, this woman would sleep in her contacts, wake up, and forget that she already had some in her eyes! She would just pop another one in.
According to OddityCentral, back in 2017 a doctor in the U.K. was prepping a 67-year-old woman for cataract surgery, and found 17 lenses in one of her eyes, another 10 later on!
We're glad but also kind of upset we haven't found a video for that one, yet.
