Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning involves a classic battle most neighbors will face at some point in their lifetimes: Who is responsible for trimming the tree that's invading the other's property?
Should it be the tree's owner, who has allowed it to grow to its massive size, or should it be the neighbor who has a problem with it?
There are obvious legal ramifications too to cutting a tree that isn't yours, especially dependent on its age and perceived "value" to the property and neighborhood, but if it's encroaching on their neighbor and effecting the value of their property, don't they have the rights to do something about it?
