Star Trek is easily one of the most popular and legendary franchises in all of movies and television, and even the most fringe of observers have seen at least one episode.

William Shatner just admitted in an interview that he has NEVER seen an episode of Star Trek, explaining that it's "too painful" to watch him portray Captain Kirk.
Shatner told People, ""I have never watched Star Trek. There are many episodes I don't know, there are some movies I don't know. I directed one of the movies — No. 5 — I had to watch that one. But it's all painful because I don't like the way I look and what I do."
Shatner portrayed Captain James T. Kirk from 1966 through 1969.
