Our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning is all about respect.
A dad is upset with his son's girlfriend, because apparently, she convinced him not to call or talk to him on his birthday. He tried calling his son multiple times, only to be ignored, and he feels she doesn't respect him, and is influencing his son to start feeling the same.
Now she believes that since her boyfriend spent the entire weekend with his father to celebrate his birthday, he had no obligation to pick up the phone when he was calling, even though that day was his actual birthday.
His son is very infatuated with this girl, so how does the Dad confront him about what he sees as total lack of respect? Is it time for him to realize that his boy is grown and has his own life and relationship now, and that because they spent the whole weekend together celebrating his birthday, he shouldn't be too upset?
