Tonight, the 2021-2022 NCAA basketball season culminates when the North Carolina Tar Heels challenge the Kansas Jayhawks in the National Championship game.
One person who will be heavily invested in the game is the subject of our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning.
A woman emailed us describing how last Saturday, her husband was going to the bathroom an inordinate amount of times. And she noticed that he was grunting while in there, and she described the grunts as "sounds you make when you are stunned by something that happened."
Well she forced her way into the bathroom during one of his trips, and found him sitting in there with his phone in hand, opened to a betting app. She had NO idea he was gambling!
This of course led to an argument between the two, where this woman discovered that her husband had spent THOUSANDS of dollars gambling on March Madness alone!
The woman did say her husband hasn't bet so much as to put a strain on their finances, but she obviously has some concerns.
This is definitely something you should tell your spouse about, right? Spending money gambling? And on top of that, this woman believes her husband has been betting for three years now. If he's kept this secret for this long, what else could he potentially be lying about?
