A woman named Angela White was surprised one day to receive a text inviting her to a baby shower.

There was just a slight problem with the invitation.  First, the shower was in California, and she lives in Indiana.  Second, she has no clue who the couple that sent the invitation is.

Though she's never met David Amastae and Candace Countryman before, White still felt compelled to do something nice for the expecting couple.

She told FOX 59, "Every time I thought about it, I was like, I didn't get that text just randomly.  I don't know why, but there was a reason why I got that text and evite to that shower."

Having just started a new blanket business, White knitted a custom chunky knit blanket for the on-her-way baby Luna, and sent that along with a sweet note explaining everything to Amastae and Countryman.

The couple was shocked to receive the gift.

They were stunned that a total stranger would go so far out of her way to send a present to their daughter, and the entire family agreed it was a good omen for little Luna's future.

Countryman said, "My mom kind of put it best.  She was just like 'Oh my gosh, Luna is so blessed.' My mom never talks like that. She is just so blessed and loved that a stranger sent her a gift. This is so crazy."

The three were able to meet over Zoom, where the couple was eager to thank Angela for the lovely blanket, and Angela was happy to see it in such good hands.
