When Anna Prillaman bought her new home in Virginia, she did not realize it came with a secret passageway hidden away in her attic.

Well while spring cleaning one year, Prillaman found that secret passageway, along with hundreds of love letters tucked away inside of it.

Prillaman found two boxes stuffed full of handwritten letters sent to a young woman named Betty Sue from a young man named Vance. "There are no SMHs or OMGs or LOLs. It's full sentences. Grammatically correct sentences. Isn't that funny how that works," Prillaman told the NY Post.

Prillamon turned to social media to see if she could connect with Betty and Vance. Within days, she connected with Dalton Long who lives over 3,000 miles away in Portland, Oregon, whose grandparents are Betty Sue and Vance!

Long said, "To me they were 'B' and Pop. But to the rest of the world, they were Betty McGhee Long and Vance Herschel Long. To add words to that time in their life is going to be incredible."

Long grew up in Prillaman's now home in Virginia, but never knew about the letters. Long's mother picked up the box of letters which will be sent to Long in Oregon soon
