A woman on Reddit will stop at nothing to make sure she gets custody of her ex-boyfriend's dog following the destruction of their relationship.

The woman claims she is the Jack Russell Terrier's primary caregiver, and she is willing to take him to court to make sure the pup goes home with her.

The woman claims that her ex was negligent in his duties in caring for the dog, and "took advantage" of her kindness saying, "What started out as me helping him out quickly turned into him taking advantage of my kindness because of his repeated negligence and shrinking responsibilities."

Now that the couple has broken up, the woman says that her boyfriend is planning on taking the dog with him, which she is adamant does NOT happen.

She said per The Mirror, "I love this dog and would do anything for him. It kills me knowing that he's just going to be sitting alone for 14+ hours every day in a cramped apartment while my ex is doing med school rotations."

So now, the woman is planning on taking her ex to court to sue him for custody of the dog.

In preparation for the case, the woman has complied photos, videos and receipts to prove how much time and money she has put into the dog.

"I know that often times, in the eyes of the law, things are looked at pretty black and white when it comes to pets," she said.  "I have testimony from his past friends and his previous ex of him purchasing multiple different pets (reptiles, birds, hamsters) experiencing the initial novelty and joy of having them, and then giving them up within six months to a year of initially purchasing them."

So our Dr. Miles Intervention this morning: Who do you side with in this lawsuit?  The dog is in her ex's name, and the only thing she can produce of her claims are pictures and videos?

Who should the dog go to?
