In a video she posted to various social media account, Gomas refers to herself as the “crazy plane lady,” and explains that though she enjoyed several of the memes that resulted from her outburst, she felt it was “invasive” of her lowest moment to be recorded and posted for everyone to see.

Gomas also thanked her family and friends giving her support as she figures out how to deal with the fallout and hopes that her story serves as a reminder of the importance of mental health.

Gomas’ video ended with the message: “Join me on my journey of promoting positive mental health and standing up against cyberbullying.”

The marketing executive has also launched a new website, asking everyone to “Stay Tuned” to an upcoming “project” which will be revealed at a later date.
