Anderson first disclosed news of the project by sharing a handwritten note on Netflix letterhead to her Instagram account.

"My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you — Not a victim, but a survivor & Alive to tell the real story,” the “Baywatch” star wrote. At the time of publication, it was the only post on her page.

Netflix followed it up by tweeting: “Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story in a new documentary."

The streamer added: “The film, which has been in the making for several years, will feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey.”

According to Variety, the doc, which is described as the “definitive documentary about the pop culture icon,” is still untitled and will feature exclusive interviews with Anderson, never-before-seen archival footage, and her personal journals.

One of the film’s producers is Anderson’s son, Brandon Lee, who she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

The documentary news comes as Hulu is currently airing the scripted series “Pam & Tommy,” which centers on Anderson’s relationship with the Motley Crue drummer in the aftermath of the theft of their sex tape in 1995. The series puts a modern lens on the story and highlights how Anderson was mistreated throughout the entire public saga.

The “Barb Wire” star was not involved with the project, which features an uncanny Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Lee.

While a premiere date for Anderson’s documentary has not been announced, the finale of “Pam & Tommy” premieres on March 9th.
