It’s no secret that the actress's 22-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe -- whom she shares with ex Ryan Phillippe -- is a dead ringer for her mother.

However, the “Legally Blonde” actress doesn’t mind it one bit.

In fact, the cover girl for InStyle’s December issue told Gayle King that she loves “being mistaken” for Ava because it makes her “feel so young.”

During the heart-to-heart with the TV personality, Witherspoon revealed that Ava is a trooper about the whole look alike thing.

"I'm so proud of her. She really rolls with it. I'm sure it's not easy looking exactly like your mother," she explained.

"Reese, stop it! When Mama looks like you, it's very easy," King replied.

“Oh, you’re sweet,” the Oscar winner noted.

“The Morning Show” star revealed that her daughter looks to one of her “Big Little Lies” co-stars who knows a thing or two about having a lookalike mother.

"We talk to Zoë Kravitz a lot," Witherspoon said. "Because she and her mother [Lisa Bonet] look exactly alike, so whenever Ava is frustrated, I go, 'Call Zoë, text Zoë, she knows what to talk about.' I mean, that's another mother-daughter combo that's like identical twins,” she added.

However, she made it clear that she enjoys getting older because "I know who I want to spend time with and who I don’t.

“And that is one of the great things about getting older—it just clears out so much space," she said.

“I want to be with my mom, my kids, and the people who fill my tank,” she noted, adding, “And everybody else, I wish them well.”

Despite the doppleganger situation, Witherspoon revealed that Ava is following her own path that doesn’t include pursuing a career in entertainment industry.

"It's an odd situation because I didn't grow up famous. So she's living an experience that I did not have, and so are my sons," Witherspoon said of her two sons -- 18-year-old Deacon with Phillippe and 9-year-old Tennessee with husband Jim Toth.

"We are lucky enough to have friends who grew up in Hollywood and can help give them advice on how to navigate. Ava is so down-to-earth. She wants to do great things in the world."

"She's studying and learning and trying to find herself. It's a big thing in life to try different things and figure out what is really your path," she revealed.

Witherspoon and Phillippe recently celebrated Deacon’s milestone birthday with a reunion and heartfelt Instagram posts. Witherspoon also posted a tribute consisting of several throwback photos of the birthday boy.
