Maroon 5 is set for another giant year in 2020, hitting arenas and stadiums across the country on a summer tour with Meghan Trainor, and the forecast is calling for more new music. Adam Levine and company gave us our first preview of their upcoming LP in September with “Memories,” and anticipation has been mounting ever since.

Before we unwrap something new from the GRAMMY-winning band, let’s take a look back at their biggest songs of all time. The band has landed at number one 4 times on the Billboard Hot 100 since their debut in 2002, keeping some songs on the chart for a full year. Through all the mohawks, cornrows, and shirtless Super Bowl moments, their music remains infectious and inescapable, and the proof is in the numbers.

These are the 9 biggest Maroon 5 songs of all time.

9 This Love

From 2002’s Songs About Jane, “This Love” spent 43 weeks on the chart, peaking at number 5 in April of 2004. Punishing piano makes way for a sunshine chorus, on one of the band’s first earworms.

8 Animals

From 2015’s V, “Animals” spent 33 weeks on the chart, peaking at number 3 in November of 2014. The creeptastic video features Levine’s wife Behati Prinsloo.

7 Memories

The latest from the band has spent 25 weeks on the chart, landing at number 2 in January of this year. The song is about loss, and dedicated to the band’s manager, who passed away in 2017.

6 Payphone

The first single from 2012's Overexposed spent 31 weeks on the chart, and peaked at number 2 in May of 2012. Come for the sweet love song, stay for the action-packed video.

5 Sugar

From 2014's V, "Sugar" spent 42 weeks on the chart and peaked at number 2 in March of 2015. The surprise wedding crashing video has over three billion views.

4 Makes Me Wonder

From 2007's It Won't Be Soon Before Long, "Makes Me Wonder" spent 26 weeks on the chart and became the band's first number 1 song in May of 2007.

3 One More Night

From 2012's Overexposed, "One More Night" spent 42 weeks on the chart and landed at number 1 in September of 2012, thanks to a touch of reggae and that unshakable chorus.

2 Moves Like Jagger

From 2010's Hands All Over, "Moves Like Jagger" spent 45 weeks on the chart and shot to number 1 in April of 2011. With an assist from Christina Aguilera, the song became a culture phenomenon all its own.

1 Girls Like You

From the band's 2017 album, Red Pill Blues, "Girls Like You" spent a year on the chart and went to number 1 in September of 2018. Thanks to a verse from Cardi B and an assist from every famous woman you've ever thought of, the video was the most watched of 2018.
