No pig ears for penny the poodle, the C-D-C and F-D-A are advising pet owners to not feed ANY pig ear treats to pets....
According to the Center for Disease Control and Preventions website, Salmonella outbreak strains have been reported from 33 states infecting 127 people, adults and children.
No deaths have been reported, but also no single supplier, distributor or brand of pig ear treats has been identified to be the origin of the outbreak.
That is why the CDC and FDA are urging pet owners to stop buying and stop feeding the treats right now. The CDC is still investigating.
