Is the South Carolina Governor’s School facing administrative upheaval?
A spokesperson for the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities has come out to deny a report that claimed many administrators were terminated from their positions, terminations which had reportedly created chaos within the school.
Christina Vandiver, who serves as the public relations director for the school, said all of that is false.
Vandiver did admit that there was a single personnel change last week, with the vice president for finance and administration no longer being on staff.
But she refuted the notion that a more widespread removal of positions has led to class delays and cancellations on campus Monday, as was reported.
Still, a job posting seeking a dean and vice president of arts and academics is listed on the school’s website, though Vandiver was adamant that posting have nothing to do with any supposed upheaval.
