As the Primary race for a U.S. Senate seat heats up, the gloves have come off. Incumbent Lindsey Graham is facing what could be considered his toughest ever test in Upstate Businessman Mark Lynch. Recently, Graham released commercials that made some strong claims about Lynch, stating he's for legalizing cocaine.
Lynch said " Absolutely not, that was a lie that started months ago and came from a Lindsey Graham group. We have written back to the Post & Courier given our true stance on that".
Mark Lynch called into the Charlie James Show Thursday to refute Graham's claim. The Graham backed commercials also claim Lynch is for disbanding the DEA.
Lynch "You have to consider the source, he's a liar. You're right Charlie, you're telling the truth. You have to let Democrats run ads, the proof is in that because you allow Lindsey to run his commercials".
Another claim in the commercial is that Lynch wants to put guns in the hands of convicted domestic abuser. Lynch "Complete hogwash. Lindsey is lying and he's desperate because his polling has dropped. He knows that this year we are going to get rid of him. South Carolinians are done with a loser like Lindsey, a liar that only acts conservative near election time".
The Republican Primary is set for June 9th.
