A Ware Shoals High School senior, on her way home from a prom, died after a collision with suspected drunk driver on Highway 25.
The Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Trinity Brandasia Harrison of Greenwood, was a passenger in 2013 Dodge that was hit head-on by the driver of a 1999 Volkswagen just after 11:30 Saturday night.
The driver of the Volkswagen had crossed the center-line and stuck the Dodge. Both drivers were injured and airlifted to a hospital.
Harrison was also taken to a hospital where she later died of her injuries.
27 year-old Carter Owen, the driver of the Volkswagen has been charged with felony DUI resulting in death.
The accident remains under investigation by both Highway Patrol and the Coroner's Office.
