The South Carolina House has approved a bill requiring fraternities and sororities to keep publicly reporting conduct violation by the groups at colleges and universities.The ``Tucker Hipps Transparency Act'' requiring the reporting was set to end in June. The vote Wednesday by the House means schools will have to continue filing the reports twice a year. The bill now goes to the Senate.The reports list misconduct investigations involving alcohol, drugs, sexual assault, physical assaults and hazing.Colleges are required to prominently post a link to the report on their websites.The law is named after Tucker Hipps, a Clemson University student who died in 2014 after falling off a bridge while running as he pledged for a fraternity.
