Some local Jersey Mike’s just gave back to the community in a big way.
Each year for the past nine years, Jersey Mike’s locations across the country participate in the company’s Annual “Month of Giving,” which has so far raised more than $41 million for local charities nationwide.
The way it works is, at the end of each “month of giving,” all store locations donate 100 percent of their sales – not just the profits – to a local charity.
This year stores nationwide brought in about $7.3 million in donations, making it a record year.
And stores right here in Greenville played a big part in that, raising a grand total of $54,153 for Safe Harbor.
Safe Harbor is a non-profit that support victims of domestic violence with an array of services, including counseling, legal support and safe shelter.
