Just after noon Monday, the Greenville Sheriff's Office said three individuals came into a doctor's office and reported finding a baby bassinet, clothing and other baby items in the woods near Conestee Rd. and Charles Dr.
The three left the office after reporting this without leaving any personal information, and police were contacted.
Deputies later reported in an update just before 1 p.m. that found and spoke with the people who made the innitial report and found the baby items abandoned in the woods.
No baby was found, and there have not been any reports of a missing child.
