One man is dead after a hit and run in Cherokee County.
The crash happened on Pacolet Highway on January 3rd around 5:30 PM.
Eddie Arledge was driving south when he went off the right side of the roadway and hit two pedestrians.
One of the pedestrians was killed immediately.
The other was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Arledge left the scene but was quickly found by authorities.
He was arrested and charged with hit and run involving death, felony DUI, and driving under suspension
The hit and run remains under investigation.
