A Williamston man has died in a shooting at a home off of Midway road in Anderson County. Deputies were called to investigate the shooting at a home on Foghorn Court outside of Williamston Friday night around 8PM.
When Deputies arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 49 year-old Travis Green. The death has been ruled a homicide and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
A Sheriff’s Office spokesman said there was no further threat to the community. That investigation continues.
