Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 27 year-old, Samuel Victor Mcelrath and 31 year-old, James Michael Pittman, in connection with a April 19th shooting that occurred in Greer.
The incident happened at around 12:30-1:00am near the intersection of N. Highway 101 and Mays Bridge Road when the victim’s vehicle, occupied by two juveniles, was involved in a roadway altercation with the suspect vehicle which resulted in the suspects blocking off the victims and firing several rounds towards them.
The victims were not struck by the gunfire.
During the course of the investigation, investigators received a tip implicating both suspects involvement in the incident.
Today, both suspects were arrested and are currently in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Both suspects are being charged with:
• Two counts of Attempted Murder
• Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
• Obstruction of Justice
• Criminal Conspiracy
