A man who escaped from the Tennessee Sheriff's Office could be in North Carolina.  Yancey County's WKYK reports Deputies were searching overnight for Christopher Saults. 

Saults escaped Tennessee custody Wednesday evening.

Authorities in Yancey County are urging residents to make sure home doors are locked and vehicle keys secured.  

Saults has several car thefts and drug charges against him as well as a history of trying to flee the police.

The Yancey County Sherriffs Office is actively looking for a white male with dark hair, approximately 6’4” tall, with brown eyes.
This suspect fled from Unicoi County Sheriffs Office into Yancey County earlier this evening.
If you live in the 19W area of Yancey County near the Tennessee state line make sure vehicle keys are secured and home doors are locked.
