STUDENTS could "work from home" for the rest of the school year among the Covid-19 pandemic!

Greenville County Schools Superintendent Dr. Burke Royster said in a statement  "Based on our current knowledge of the virus and the importance of maintaining social distancing at this time, I am strongly in favor of continuing eLearning for the rest of the school year rather than trying to reconvene in-person instruction.”

According to the Greenville County Schools website, all schools are closed through April 30th.

A message to parents and guidelines how the eLearning will work for each grade level has been provided under the eLearning Information tab.

State Superintendent Molly Spearman told WIS TV10 in Columbia Monday that the decision whether or not to re open schools will be announced by the end of the week.

Classes transitioned to online under executive order March 15th.

Dr. Royster said he expects Greenville County schools to be the last to re-open.
