Even though yesterday's storms have ended, South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis reminds the danger isn't over.
"When you're traveling and you encounter water across the road, you need to be really cautious; it only takes about a foot of water to put your car off contact with the pavement," Hovis said.
Hovis suggests finding an alternate route to the destination and to remember the adage, "Turn around, Don't Drown."
Downed trees are also expected to be a danger today.
"The ground is really, really saturated, and today especially with all the wind we're having it could blow a tree down," Hovis said.
