According to Master Deputy Jimmy Watt with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, the suspect in the Westminster Highway shooting Monday has been arrested.
19 year old Malik Laheddrick Jaton Fort.
Press release from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office: 19 year old Malik Laheddrick Jaton Fort, who was charged by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office yesterday with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During Commission of a Violent Crime, in relation to the shooting incident that occurred yesterday morning on Westminster Highway.
(Monday 1/27/20) A shooting is under investigation right now in Oconee County.
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating a shooting that reportedly took place this morning on Westminster Highway.
One injured victim was taken to an area hospital.
Deputies also said a that a traffic stop on Highway 28 at Highway 11 was related to the investigation.
