GREENVILLE MAN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH EARLY MORNING HOMICIDE
Investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office have arrested 47 year-old, Leon Eric Brown in connection with the homicide that occurred earlier this morning on W. Wilburn Avenue.
During the course of investigation, investigators learned that the shooting occurred as a result of an ongoing dispute between the victim and Brown.
Just prior to the shooting Brown, armed with a handgun, gained entry inside the residence, and ultimately shot the victim to death.
Deputies were able to make contact with Brown a short distance from the scene and took him into custody.
Brown has been charged with Murder, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Kidnapping, Burglary 1st degree and two counts of Pointing and Presenting.
Brown was transported to the Greenville County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
